NHS Property Services Logo - black and white

NHSPS has a £3bn asset portfolio.  As Project Marketing Lead I built a brand, respecting key markers of the NHS, for a digital room booking ‘sessional’ model.  A controversial project, this required exceptional political awareness while communicating a single message from a number of different angles to NHS services, commissioning groups, NHS England and the Department of Health. After a positive pilot an enhanced pay-as-you-go NHS Open Space platform rolled out nationwide Spring / Summer 2019.

Caroline Mary undertook strategic marketing analysis and future planning during a significant period of transition at Battersea Power Station Development Company which saw a change both of CEO and Lead Sales Director.    An initial digital programme saw 65% of new sales leads within a month and a comprehensive 3-year plan was then developed to support aggressive sales targets in a falling market.   Measurement of activity was central to the work,  benchmarking the value of leads against investment and monitoring the impact of specific messages to key markets.  To this end CRM process and analysis became a key focus while digital tracking and measurement tools were instigated across each campaign.

HGH Planning Consultancy

Planning Consultancy HGH approached Caroline Mary to project manage and create content for a developing website and company brochure.   An organisation made up of specialists across the Planning and Development spectrum many of the team at HGH had been supported by Caroline in-house at Savills and knew the service levels she operates to and the standard of the end result – not least her ability to see a project through, on time and on budget.  Later in the year HGH asked for support in further development opportunities.   Caroline has ” a unique quality to be utterly charming and slightly scary at the same time” were Director Roger Hepher’s  words on instruction.

Collaborating with Catalyst in its Sales and Marketing performance is central to the ongoing development of social, affordable and shared-ownership homes.  My focus is to incentivise efficiency and process to enhance the continued provision of quality housing when lower benefits and capped rents threaten return.  Working with the directorate of this G15 Housing Association to develop new and affordable models, without stinting on the quality Catalyst is renowned for, presents a fascinating creative challenge.  Not least in the face of overwhelming demand, unprecedented supply trials from land to labour and the need to balance charitable status with profit-generating luxury development.

Working with Tim Buckley and Kate Tullberg on the exciting proposition that is SeaSpoon was a privilege and welcome rediscovery of small business entrepreneurialism .   Caroline worked with Tim many moons ago at Savills and mutual respect for each other’s approach brought about a very productive spirit in this venture.  SeaSpoon is not only a ‘wonderfood’, filling an important gap in the health and vitality  market but supports a culture of well-being and balance.   Harvested largely by hand from the South Coast of the UK  SeaSpoon’s vision is for those who make its unique Seaweed blend part of a regular diet to enjoy the tremendous health benefits through a simple ready-to-eat  boost and/or in culinary preparations.    A truly sustainable twenty-first century start-up business for body mind and planet.

The creative team behind the exceptional Taylor Howes marque and its diffusion brand th2 is expanding again with a truly progressive service in th2Studio the ultimate e-boutique for interior design and iconic furniture.  Alongside private client work, th2 works with key developers creating bespoke interiors in show apartments and for purchasers of unfurnished units beyond. This business comprises a highly talented team of designers and a hard-working and holistic culture to maximise creativity.  Supporting businesses embracing the future with exciting new models is exactly why Caroline Mary came to fruition and it is a real privilege to work with Gail, Sheila and the th2 team.

Arguably the best smoked salmon on the planet, Uig Lodge supplies Michelin starred restaurants,  independent luxury food retailers and private families.   Uig is on the Isle of Lewis on the tip of the Outer Hebrides.  The water is incredibly cold and the currents extremely strong which makes for very fit and lean fish.  This is apparent in the taste and in the very limited amounts of fat which is visible in the salmon packaged and sold.  In the first weekend of Christmas sales we hit all records in sales.   Visit Uig Lodge website for more on this exceptional Salmon, not available in mainstream supermarkets, for the opportunity to stay and fish at the sensational Lodge itself or to visit the genuinely unique Uig Lodge restaurant .

When Emily Goodall spent half an hour fitting a footmuff (requiring a screwdriver to remove a harness) she was inspired to design something better and the BundleBean GO was born: waterproof, durable, simple to use and universal. It has won multiple awards and is now on sale worldwide.   The range  includes the BundleBean for Babywearing – a carefully designed cover fitting all types of sling and carrier, including a detachable hood for top-to-toe protection. The Buggy Organiser is the latest in a growing portfolio of products which include the Kids and Adults Wheelchair Cosies. Easy to fit, non-restrictive and gorgeous.   Together we increased the maximum sales in a day by 150% thanks to a specific ‘Black Friday’ campaign which alerted us to the number of customers pending.

Livery Companies of the City of London are among the most ancient organisations across the British Isles and even they with their historic halls, and 12th Century traditions need to embrace our modern communication styles.  The Worshipful Company of (stone) Masons plays an important role in the upkeep and survival of stone buildings across the country.  The training of yeoman masons and associated fundraising is central to the work of this Livery as is the education to the wider public of all aspects of stone craft from Masons’ marks to the inspection of gargoyles on the roofs of the tallest Cathedrals. All this is to be supported by a brand new website and social media strategy project managed  by Caroline Mary throughout 2017.

“We engaged CarolineMary following a long-standing relationship working on sponsorship and marketing engagement when Caroline was client-side.  Having built up a strong relationship over a number of years we didn’t hesitate to engage her when she launched her stand alone consultancy.   Her complementary skill set across marketing and digital media made her an ideal partner for us and in a short period of time she has proven her worth across a number of our accounts.”  Charlotte Heath-Bullock, MD

Manufactured in West Bromwich from carbon spring steel and packaged in Kent from sustainable materials Archie is a high quality British product with a strong future. As the judge of the Social Media and Training and Development in this years’ Letting Agency of the Year Awards I was impressed by the levels even the smallest organisations attain and the importance given to both these categories.  Large numbers of entries ensure this is a strong and highly competitive contest undoubtedly recognising the very best in the industry.  It was an honour to be invited and to work with an esteemed board of judges and the Property Ombudsman, Katrine Sporle CBE.
